HARVEST

Message from the Principal

I would like to extend a very warm and enthusiastic WELCOME to St Joseph’s College – an amazing place to be, a place where faith and community bring excellence. While I begin my second year as Principal I feel blessed and energised to be working alongside a dedicated staff who are committed to making a positive difference in the lives of our young people.

As we grow and move forward, we will focus on keeping our strong academic and Mercy traditions while finding new ways to meet the ever-changing needs of our students. I believe that setting high academic expectations, appropriately challenging our students in both curriculum and character, as well as providing suitable support systems to ensure that each student works at their highest God-given potential, will provide a place that will continue to foster the growth and development of the whole child.

I also believe in the importance of a strong home-school partnership to achieve the excellence that our students deserve.  This relationship is vital to the success of each child and I feel blessed to be a part of a community where this is evident.

In 2017 we will bring our entire school community together with a common theme, Compassion. We believe our students to be people of hope with the generosity of heart to show compassion, both in their decision making and in their relationships with others.

As you browse our website I hope you gain a sense of the caring, academic community that we strive to be. If you would like further information or to arrange a visit to our College, please contact us through the information and numbers outlined under the Contact page.

Let us continue to come together, not only to celebrate the traditions of the past, but to also embrace the changes and challenges of the future. I am looking forward to working with you and our students in the year to come.
