Food Technology  at St Joseph's College is available for students from Year 7 to 12.  Students utilise the Kitchen at the Mercy Campus, which has many specialised items.  Large, modern kitchen workspaces, digital television teaching stations, an outdoor bbq area and a large kitchen garden supports the students in their culinary endeavours. 

Metal, Timber & Plastics Facilities at St Joseph's College  focuses on providing students with the opportunity to work with a range of resistant materials.  Wood, Metal and Plastics are the main materials utilised by students.  The facilities provided enable students to design and construct a range of different products. At St Joseph's College we have 2 dedicated workshops which provide an excellent range of tools and equipment for student use and skill development. Including; 2 brazed welding bays, metal craft scroll equipment, 24 timber work stations and 24 metal / plastic work stations in the large workshop and 24 general purpose stations in the smaller room.  There is also an advanced staff machine room which includes table saw, thicknesser, band saw and docking saw which enables staff to prepare materials for students. 

Mechanical & Electrical at St Joseph's College focuses on providing students with an introduction to mechanical and electrical systems.  St Joseph's College has two classrooms fitted out for this subject; one specialising in small engine disassembly and reassembly and the other room specialises in electronic processes and has dedicated soldering bays with air extraction.   

Textiles at St Joseph's College essentially teaches students to be creative and innovative problem solvers.  Our facilities ensure that these skills are developed in an integrated environment.  The Textiles Room is a large airy space which accommodates 24 students.  There are large benches in the room for cutting, 15 domestic sewing machines, 3 overlockers and 1 embroidery machine.  For sustainable design practices including dyeing and printing, students also have the use of a specialised wet room.
