STEP 1: Application

Parent/caregivers submit an Enrolment Application Form by the advertised deadline, with required documentation to place student on the list of applicants.

STEP 2: Interview

Families are invited to attend an enrolment interview with the Principal or member of the College Senior Leadership Team.

STEP 3: Acceptance of offer

Upon receiving an offer for a place, parents/caregivers must complete and return the Acceptance of Offer documentation by the specified return date given.

ENROLMENT CRITERIA

The Enrolment Criteria is listed within the Enrolment Application.

INTERVIEW PROCESS

Once the application closure date has passed, you will be contacted to attend an interview with a member of the College Senior Leadership Team.  This interview is for students and parents/caregivers and is a way for us to get to know you, and for you to get to know us.

OFFERS

Upon receiving an offer for a place, parents/caregivers must complete the Acceptance of Offer documentation by the specified return date given.

TRANSITION PROCESS

Information is provided to the college by the primary schools that students attend to provide additional information and insights about the student.  Transition meetings are held for students with special or additional needs, who may be particularly anxious about starting secondary school.  These meetings will be conducted by the Head of Learning Diversity.

LANGUAGE

Italian is the language of choice at St Joseph’s College, which is compulsory for Year 7.  Students can continue with the language in Year 8 and in senior years if they wish to do so.

ORIENTATION

In December we hold an Orientation Day for all incoming Year 7 students, where they find out their House, Homeroom Teacher, Core Group and spend the day with the rest of the Year 7 cohort.
