Awards
Catherine McAuley Excellence Awards
Recognising excellence across all aspects of college life motivates and inspires our students to achieve more. The Catherine McAuley Excellence Awards acknowledge and reward the desire to excel whilst living our Mercy Values. The program consists of the Virtue Conquers Achievement Awards and the Principal’s Award.
Virtue Conquers Achievement Awards
Led by our motto, ‘Virtue Conquers’, our young people work towards their individual goals with the responsibility of representing the college as they strive to achieve.
Those who exemplify our Mercy Values receive certificates in four areas:
Academic Excellence
Leadership in Sports
Community Service
Creative Endeavour
Those students who receive certificates across all areas are eligible to receive gold, silver, and bronze Virtue Conquers badges.

Principal’s Award
Each term, the Principal presents an award to one young person from every year level who has demonstrated excellence which may not be specifically covered by the criteria of the Virtue Conquers Achievement Awards.

Awards for Sport
St Joseph’s College students also represent our college on the sporting field as they do in both the classroom and the community. Whether in school or outside of school, all students who play sport should display sportsmanship and behaviour aligned with our Mercy Values. To celebrate sporting achievement, any student who has excelled in their chosen sport(s) can be nominated for awards throughout the year.

Harvest Magazine 2023
I am proud to present the 2023 edition of Harvest, the mid-year publication full of pictures, profiles, and stories from the amazing St Joseph’s College learning community.
Our college motto, ‘Virtue Conquers’, guided us as we prepared this year’s magazine. I can think of no theme more suitable, considering that this edition documents the latter half of the Year of Spirituality (2022) and the first half of the Year of Excellence (2023).
