VCAL / VET
VET (Vocational Education Training) programs combine general VCE, VCAL or VO studies with vocational training and experience. We offer a large number of VET programs through the College, Sunitafe, and other local registered training organisations.
As part of a Federal Government initiative to promote trade training in schools, St Joseph’s College implemented learning areas devoted to the vocations of hair and beauty and hospitality at our Mercy Campus in 2013. The certificate courses run in these areas are available to students at secondary colleges across the district. Our hair and beauty salon is a fully functioning training salon with state-of-the-art equipment and facilities. The hospitality section includes a comprehensive commercial kitchen and the Mercy Cafe, which is open to the Sunraysia community.
